1st visit and left restaurant area because of vibe. Still needed lunch so opted for NY pizza slices - $4 cheese; greasy & flavorless; trash can! I bought hubby 2 mini cannoli for $7; hoping those are good. Sorry, but place doesn’t measure up to Claudina’s on Sancus

When trying to find a place to eat for the family we was looking at the prices. On Google it shows 1 dollar sign not meaning 1 dollar but a lower price restaurant. Once we was seated and started to look at the menu there is no way this is a 1 dollar sign restaurant maybe a 3 dollar sign restaurant. Food was good but not worth the price.

Using the Olive Garden (OG) scale, which is a pretty low bar, as a comparison: Food - equal to OG. Recipes are not authentic, which is weird for a place built on the reputation of an Italian deli. Pasta was somehow overcooked - how do you mess that up at an Italian place? Atmosphere - worse than OG. You're in a supermarket sized space with ceilings 30 ft above you. It is very loud and all noise carries. Price - worse than OG. You're paying the Polaris Tax here for cheap pasta. Service - equal to OG. For a place seemingly run by teenagers, the service was friendly and reasonably quick except for the guy at the front desk. We made a special trip here for a special occasion, and we wish we hadn't. Not worth the trip or the price. It's not a BAD place, just not as good as the location, price, and reputation would lead you to believe.
