We are extremely pleased with Louisiana roof crafters, especially Josh, Robbie, Connor and the rest of the gang for the very professional, courteous and excellent job that they performed in replacing our roof. I would recommend them to anyone who asks and several have already asked about our beautiful roof! Thanks again to everyone at LARC!

Yes, Roof Crafters has two different warranties that come with a new roof installation. We have a five-year warranty with every new roof installed and you can get our Premium warranty as well. Roof Crafters has a 10-Year no leak guarantee. If Roof Crafters replaces your roof and does all your flashings your roof may qualify for our extended 10-Year Guarantee. Call for full details.
Yes, at Roof Crafters we will not install a new roof without removing the old felt as well as removing the old nails from the roof deck. We believe you can roof over rotten wood if you do not remove the old felt. One reason we remove the old nails is to minimize what is called nail pops. If you are getting a new roof you should demand that not only your old shingles be removed but the old felt and valley metal as well. If your roofing company is not doing this I would ask why not. The best roof installation will certainly have the old felt removed.
Yes, Roof Crafters is Select Shingle Master with CertainTeed Corporation Building Material Company and also Platinum Preferred with Owens Corning Corporation. These two certification puts Roof Crafters in a group of roofing professionals that make up less than one half of one percent of roofers in the United States. Being backed by a major roofing manufacturer will give you the peace of mind you deserve from your roofing company.
Yes, Roof Crafters has done numerous skylight repairs and replacements. Roof Crafters is the only 5-Star Velux Skylight installer in the state of Louisiana. Roof Crafters only installs Velux Skylights because of the great warranty Velux provides our clients. If you get a new Velux Skylight with the flashing kit you can get a 10-year no leak guarantee backed by Velux Skylights and Roof Windows.
Yes, Roof Crafters services not only Hammond and Baton Rouge but Covington, Mandeville, Madisonville, Slidell and the entire Northshore areas of Louisiana.
If your shingle edges are curled or cupped would be one warning sign you probably need a new roof. If you can see what looks like bald spots on your shingles this is most likely granule loss and another key warning sign of a need for a new roof. If you can see cracked shingles from the ground and another key indicator would be if your shingles are over 20 years old. All of these would be key indicators of a need for a new roof.
Yes, in most cases shingles do not come straight out of the bundle and lay flat on a roof. In the summertime, your shingles will thermal seal and lay flat much faster than the fall or winter. Ask your roofing professional his opinion for the time of year you are in but in most cases, it takes at least a few weeks to a few months depending on the time of year and climate you live in.
Normally you do not want to install a new roof under 40 degrees. This is a guideline to follow and not a set in stone number. If it is a nice sunny day at 40 degrees and the shingles have been placed on the roof to warm up it is just fine to roof at 40 degrees. If say it was 25 degrees overnight and the day is windy and overcast you probably do not need to be roofing.
There are a few very common roof repairs that we run into. Plumbing pipe boot repairs are probably the most common roof repair that we do. The valley of a home is another common problem are needing repairs very often. Skylights are certainly another common roof leak problem. These are the three most common roof repairs that we do. The ridge vent on a home can be a problem and we do repairs to the roofing ridge vent. The wind turbines or commonly called whirlybirds that are on many houses sometimes stop turning due to the bearing getting old and wearing out and this is a fairly common roof repair. There are many other types of roof repairs but these are certainly the most common roof repairs that we do.
At Roof Crafters, we recommend the Landmark series of shingles by CertainTeed Corporation or the Duration line of shingles by Owens Corning. CertainTeed and Owens Corning both have many great shingles and a full line of colors that should satisfy most homeowners.

Yes, we do many different types of roof repairs on mobile homes. The low pitch of a mobile home roof causes many leaks and adding ice & water shield to these areas will stop a mobile home roof leak.
