Had a reservation for Halloween weekend, booked it back in September through Hopper. Have used Hopper in the past for other trips (Miami, Orlando, NYC, CT, etc). Never had a problem before, upon arrival trying to check in canβt find reservation than was informed that they are in a disagreement with Hopper. Had payment issues with Hopper in the past. Is an ongoing issue happened to at least three other parties that same day. Got in contact with Hopper to go over reservation and what solution was. Hopper has a hotel partner who pays the hotel. Between Hopper, their hotel partner and hotel no one could come to an answer at least the first night. So booked one night stay with them for almost $200 (Hopper would refund it). Next morning hoped that the hotel got the proof of payment or whatever paperwork they required from Hopper. They did not and the hotel said I could stay with them for the remainder of my trip for $1000. In the end, ended up at Holiday Inn for the rest of my trip. Hopper refund one night stay at original hotel and price change of new hotel. Hopper is working with hotel to get original stay refund. If they have such an issue with each other shouldnβt do business together. For same price staying at Holiday Inn with free breakfast and not surrounded by homeless.

My partner and I got COVID-19, and called to cancel our reservation. Essentially, staff were unconcerned and did not care that we show up sick and get others sick. They obviously care more about money than the health of guests. Will definitely be reporting this to the dept of health, because we would want others to be able to cancel instead of bringing illness to the hotel. We did prepay and the booking site agreed to a refund however staff were not accommodating at all. They agreed to an exception and refund on the phone, however denied it to our booking site. We asked to speak with the Manager and never received a call back. We called several times to attempt to straighten this out and they were beyond rude. I couldnβt imagine how terrible the service is in person.

Historical hotel, therefore a little dated. Everything was clean the rooms the grounds. Cobblestone courtyard was a great place to hang out. Tina, and the staff were outstanding. Great area, It sits right on the trolley car line that takes you directly to the French Quarter.

I understand for the price it should have been repaired properly.
Housekeeping has a stick schedule at this hotel. Also, it depends if the wind blew or the other drunk guests took the do not disturb sign.
Take the street car. Great value.
Not far at all. A tram ride away, it's the last stop of the tram
Consult the manager
It's not said far are you is get on the train is taking about 5 minutes to get downtown where the casinos at
It's $25 a night for valet parking. There's parking on the side streets. I would recommend the valet parking because two blocks over there's a group of homeless people camping out under the bridge. Not saying that they would break in but I wouldn't risk it...
Use street car right in front of hotel
Parking is not free. They do have a secure spot where they park the vehicles. I see that others say parking is free. I've had to pay both stays π€
No shuttle. We caught a city bus and then the trolley. It was no problem.
