I've been taking my birds there for years. Dr. Rich and Dr. Pence are always attentive to my bird's needs. The staff is really friendly as well.

I absolutely adore the Doctors and Staff! They truly go above and beyond to take care of the avian and exotic patients that come through their doors. We are so luckily to have them. Thank you for the best care!

We would recommend calling the clinic 504-455-6386 and speaking with one of our receptionists about scheduling an appointment. They would have additional questions that would help us to determine when it would be best to schedule your bunny.
You can bring it to them during open hours. In this situation I'd call them.
Hello Anthony, We do exams on exotic species, including parrots, rabbits, ferrets, a variety of reptiles, and small mammal exotic pets. Our appointments do book up in advance. Please call our office at #504-455-6386 to speak with one of our helpful receptionists about scheduling an appointment. Thank you!
Conures should not 'smell really bad'. There could be an underlying health issue causing the odor; such as a stool issue or yeast. We would recommend a health exam on both. Until you are able to have them examined, you can bathe them with plain water. Please call us at #504-455-6386, to schedule an appointment or ask any further questions.
We would recommend having your beardie examined by a veterinarian. Please call to schedule an appointment or use the appointment request form on our website : https://gregrichdvm.com/appointment-request/. Our friendly receptionists will be able to answer any scheduling questions you may have. Our clinic is open Monday through Friday 8am to 6pm and Saturday 8am to Noon.
I hope your fur baby is doing much better. From one small mammal lover to another I just wanted to let you know that anytime your baby is exposed to cat saliva it is best to get them checked out ASAP. Feline Saliva is very dangerous to other animals and requires immediate antibiotics. Their mouths carry alot of bacteria that can cause tissue infections. Always better to be safe than sorry. 😊 I hope this helps someday!
We would need to examine your hamster in order to determine the cause of his issues. Please call our clinic as soon as you are able to schedule an appointment. #504-455-6386.
Hi Jeffery. Please call the hospital at 504.455.6386 to answer your question. There is more involved than just a yes or no answer. Thanks.
You would need to call their office to get you questions answered.

Hi Linux. Thanks so much for your interest in volunteering with us. Unfortunately we do not take volunteers. You might want to check into your local animal shelter as they usually have volunteer programs and are always looking for great volunteers. The Jefferson Parish Animal Shelter and Louisiana SPCA have volunteer programs. Good luck with your endeavor helping the animals.
Yes, we have two guinea pigs who we've taken there for years. Great doctors.
This most likely means he's going to start shedding soon. You can let him soak in water to help aid the shed.
