Went there with a company of 2, cod and salmon are great, fries too. We have also ordered white clam soups which are incredible, creamy and rich in taste. You can also feed the seagull with your leftover fries by throwing them out in the air and let them catch.(do not feed seagull on the table + feed the pigeon is prohibited) Drinks are refillable.

This is an iconic institution that is worth a visit every time we come to Seattle. The view of the Sound is great. The customer service is stellar. The selection is perfect. And the seafood is delicious. I always have to have their chowder, no matter what the entree is. Today in was the salmon sandwich. (If you’re a salmon lover, you can’t go wrong with this selection.

Took the ferry over to Seattle for the afternoon to spend the day shopping and eating at my favorite restaurant, Ivar's. They seated me in the cocktail bar. I ordered a lemon drop and a fresh strawberry, feta, sliced almonds and seasonal beet salad, with a light vinegarette. Delish! I also, ordered a cup of their famous Clam Chowder and it never disappoints. This was the first time I've been seated in the bar area and it was clean, plenty of additional tables that seat 4 and the bar area itself. The wait staff were friendly and professional. Thank you for a great experience.

Slow and rude service. First a man led us to the very last table at the exit in the far back of the entire restaurant when there were many open tables by the window. Being sarcastic when we asked to switch. 🫠 No menu or water after 15 mins after we switched. And then server asked us why don’t we have any menu, is it because we don’t want one 😑 I won’t come back for this service. Fish and chips taste like reheated overnight and very plain. Clam chowder tasted the best. Seafood stew was also blend and not served hot.

Yes. Definitely eat outside, don't eat in the restaurant. The outdoor version is more authentic Ivars
The heaters are mounted on the ceiling in both the ordering area and the covered seating area.
There's Pike Place garage across the Aquarium, don't forget to get the parking validation for free parking.
Depends on how many are in your group. No more than 15-20 mins
Not sure but I would assume they wouldn't be
There is none...
Yes to vegetarian. No to vegan.
Finally we can dine in!
They were working as of yesterday!
We just came out with new menus on Friday, which feature a 10oz center cut Top Sirloin during dinner. Please check it out: https://www.ivars.com/locations/acres-of-clams#menus
Not at this time!
I had "clams and chips" and they were strips.
Good talk
It is definitely top quality stuff. It's like a good steak house - you get what you pay for and it's not a every night kinda place which makes it special. Jess hit it on the button with happy hour. Other options might be the casino buffet or Skipper's if you don't want to pay the price.
No, unless it is a service dog. Emotional support animals do not fall under this category.
Here is a link to our website where you can see the pricing for both of our versions of fish and chips for lunch and dinner. Also our bar menu and happy hour. https://www.ivars.com/locations/acres-of-clams/acres-of-clams-menus Thanks! Casey Rose General Manager
They had the creamiest clam chowder ive ever had, it was really good! And we only came to this place because the friend we went with reallly wanted their calimari, so im assuming thats very good too.
Our name is derived from the "Old Settler's" song. Here's a good 5-minute Youtube video, which featured the song and history behind it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m27D4kp5LKE Enjoy!
We offer free birthday meals to those enrolled in our Carte Clam program. Must be 55 or older to participate. You can sign up at any seafood bar or full service restaurant. Thanks! Casey Rose General Mananager
It is worth looking at the two or three blocks to the north. The meters are free on Sundays.
