Great Propane. But do not go here if you expected ice cream

Purchased a S&F refilled propane tank from a local store for around $18.00. They advertise the tank to have a net weight of 17lbs of propane. Used the tare weight stamped on the tank to calculate the actual net contents and came up with exactly 15lbs, not 17lbs. The threaded connection on the tank is corroded and had debris inside the port where your propane hose would connect, which needed to be cleaned out or risk obstructing the small orifices in the propane regulator. There is an o-ring seal inside the port where your propane hose would connect as well and that seal looked deteriorated. I reached out to S&F mainly to discuss the advertised tank weight discrepancy via email with no response. In the future, I will continue to buy my propane refills from a reputable company such as Blue Rhino or Amerigas. All their propane tanks come filled with 15lbs, the tanks are clean looking and have undergone quality control checks prior to refilling, and they have new gas valves on every tank that include new o-ring seals. I’d rather spend literally $2-3 more to have something that is “as advertised” and with minimal potential for leaks or problems.

Absolutely the best price for propane. They are here within the day or two of the call. I believe they only have a few customers in or around Dividing Creek area. They fill our tank when he is heading or coming back from Cape May (when we call) If you have propane heat call them!!! They have saved us so much money from switching company's that we would put up signs for them. Lol If you have propane you know how costly it is.
