Extortion. My car from NJ got towed. I was on Rockaway Beach volunteering to bring the handicapped onto surf boards. There were no signs against the green wall that my car got towed from. Additionally, i saw all the other NY plates without stickers were left there. When i arrived to pick up the car the guy said the credit card machine was broken and demanded 240, and directed me to the ATM. I told him I saw the sign, but he said since it was 645PM, he shouldn't even be there. Then he dropped the price to 220. The sign said 125+tax. Of course he didn't give me a receipt. So my options were: pay 220 or leave my car there until monday and probably pay more, not to mention going home and back. It was worth the 220, but he wanted 240 and extorted me out of cash. Tell me owner... how much should it have costed? I took a photo of your sign and showed it to the guy working. Of course only cash was accepted. No zelle. No PayPal. No venmo. Nothing traceable. He knew I was in a pinch because it was late on Friday and my car had jersey plates.

These guys are great! I was able to get my car back within hours of being towed. No damage to the car and nothing missing. Remember, they’re just doing their job so don’t give them a hard time if you were towed. Courtesy goes a long way!

Justin’s towing company was great and so helpful! He picked up the call and even called me back because he saw a missed call from me. Very responsive and reliable compared to other towing companies. Some towing companies say 24/7 but don’t pick up. You can rely on Justin’s towing company. I had to tow my car from Brooklyn to Fresh Meadows and Tony was the best!!! He made me feel safe and guided me through everything. Def will keep them in my phone book :)

With you stating you was shopping at Cvs and your car was towed, almost impossible. If you parked your vehicle in a highly traffic area with multiple business surrounding the area with limited parking such as the cvs parking lot you was towed from. You was towed for parking and leaving the property of parking area without patronizing the business of that parking area. Unfortunately if you intended to shop at cvs after you left that parking to patronize another business area you are the only person that will know that. any parking lot in nyc with posted warning instructions means that that parking area is abused by people that are utilizing that parking area to go else we’re. Wether it’s 5 minutes 10 minutes. Again you are the only one who will know how long you are leaving that property for. For future advise. Try and go after parking directly into the establishment of parking area first before stepping out to avoid being towed.
