Parr? More like Sub-Parr! Check-in was a fairly inefficient procedure. A bit more invasive than I'd normally expect. The staff actually wanted to take a photo and hand-prints of me. They completely disregarded my status as a Wyndham Platinum member, and were unfazed by my Amex Black cardholder status. This is the first property I've stayed where I didn't at least get some drink tickets. Accommodations were very minimalist and chic. White cinder block walls, industrial style door, stainless steel bathroom fixtures. The suite included room service, which was a nice touch. The bedding arrangement provided was an unusual tandem double-twin setup. Turndown service was not provided, and the bedding was at best, a 100 thread count linen. Normally I wouldn't go for such an intimate arrangement, but given the fact that I was going through heroin withdrawals, I could not find the energy to complain. During my stay, room access seemed to be malfunctioning. I was trapped in my room for roughly 22 hours per day, with limited lounge access the rest of the time. I tried to contact the front desk, but staff were adamant about not providing me a replacement room key. On top of that, lighting in the room was defective and I was unable to switch off the overhead chandelier, forcing me to sleep under full illumination. Food was 2 stars out of 5. The provided continental breakfast was consistent, albeit mediocre. The "Parrbucks" coffee was somehow simultaneously over-roasted and bland, much to the chagrin of my tastebuds. The lunch menu was very uninspired with a daily serving of bologna pâté sandwiches. Normally I'd be taken aback and maybe even slightly charmed by such a quaint offering, but in this setting, the repetition eroded any potential novelty. I suggested an apéritif of Pinot Grigio to pair with the catfood sandwich, but the wait staff was unwilling to listen to feedback. In another twist, the shower arrangement was *highly* unconventional. There was a massive lack of privacy, and other guests became hostile that I was taking more than two minutes to wash myself. In one particular encounter, another guest even tried to initiate unwanted relations with me. The staff were unwilling to hear my grievance, and didn't even offer so much as a complementary bar ticket. Toiletries were scant, and had to be purchased at ludicrous markup via the establishment apothecary, which was only open for business once per week. In praise of the establishment, I can offer a star for the library service. For an avid reader such as myself, the book delivery service was a godsend. I was able to read no less than 7 books during my stay. I even discovered a very juicy romance novel. Unfortunately, I was only able to finish about 2/3 of the book prior to my check-out. The staff provided stationary materials for documenting the ISBN of the book, so I should be able to pick up where I left off. Overall, this "Sub-Parr" experience will have me thinking twice about lodging options in Reno. I will be telling Wyndham corporate offices about this property!

Has plenty of staff but staff rather sit on the computer checking their emails then allow inmates time to shower or use the phone. Treats everyone like they are guilty until proven innocent. Feeds unhealthy, spoiled food in portions fit for children - not adults. Does not offer enough phones for the population size per unit- but that's irrelevant because keeps the inmates locked in their cells about 20-21 hours a day so everyone does not have a chance to use the phone equally. Medical department unsatisfactory. incompetent supervision of officers routines and treatment of inmates = officers allowed to treat inmates unfairly and unprofessionally. Is not carefully scrutinized by public authority to see the abomination that occurs within the facility.
