I see why this VA gets bad reviews..I will never go there again..was trying to get registered there (just moved back to the area)and get a new boot for my broken right foot..was told I'd have to see a primary care doctor first..tho they did have boots available it was suggested to go get one at Walgreens..wow..what happened to "the veteran comes first"...

None of the information posted on the website is correct! I was on hold for 2 hours, PER CALL, and nobody answered. I then drove down to the VA office. Only 2 people working, the complete lack investment into the VA is completely apparent. After I get here, I was told all the numbers I was calling is wrong and gave me a new number to sit in the office and stay on hold again. Giving this 2 stars because the woman who answered was helpful and nice. More investments and updates are dearly needed!

Dr tells you the VA will call to schedule scan and other test but the VA never calls. Than they send out a notice saying they couldn't connect you by phone even though they have the right phone number. When they send out the notice it is past the the time to schedule your scan. Think it time to find a Dr. outside of the VA.

Appointments cancelled, sub standard protocols, antiquated medications. doctors who don’t care. It’s only purpose is to delay care so long that veterans die and the VAs cost is minimized.

The number listed on Google will bring you to the main Central Texas VA Appt. line. For Appts I just go in and schedule because being on hold for 2 hrs is slower.
starts at 7AM. Plan on waiting a solid 30-40 minutes, then you won't be disappointed
