AEP rips people off & has rude employees such as Mike who hung up on me bc I asked a bill question that he couldn't answer so I requested a supervisor & thats when I got hung up on. Now I can't call back due to "outages" in my area. Yet I got thru less than 5 mins ago. To my knowledge there is no outages in my area. If there were my apt building is usually the 1st ones to lose power & i have mine. It seems that AEP is overcharging me & now I can't get back to a billing rep to discuss thiis issue. I give this company 0 stars! I wish I could get my electricity from a different company all together.

Call to pay bill, but auto system doesn't recognize account number as valid. Keeps interrupting every time I try entering it. Can't get live person to help.

This corporation knows that they have disabled customers that get their check on the 1st of the month. It is ashamed that they will cut off their lights the day before they get paid to make an additional profit off of the reconnection fee.

Power outages at the hint of bad weather. If there was any other power company I'd use them. Lines are horribly maintained and overgrown, trees fall on the lines constantly, and not only that they keep changing the time to fix it further and further away! Just set it to the latest time you think it'll be done and surprise us if it gets done earlier, I don't want to play the guessing game of "8 pm today or 5 am next Monday"
