Decent spot although checkin was miserable. When I first got there my room wasnt ready (I was a bit early), but when I went back after the designated check-in time, i had to wait i line for 30 minutes. This is the 21st century, you'd think they would have an express check in. Otherwise, the hotel was clean and you cant beat the convenient location.

We had visited Snowshoe years ago and stayed at a different condo near Allegheny Springs. From the moment I saw it those many years ago, blanketed in a fresh, white snow, I thought it was beautiful and knew that the next time I visited Snowshoe, I would stay at A.S. I can tell you I was not disappointed. From the stunning facade (especially covered in snow), to the inviting foyer I promise you, you won't be sorry that you chose A.S. for your vacation stay. Our condo was small but all we needed for our party size. It was updated nicely with lovely cabinetry and granite countertops. The master bed was comfortable and the view from our balcony was unmatched. The valet service was well worth $15 a day. The valets were kind, thrifty, and beyond accommodating. Each time they brought me our vehicle they would brush off the snow, start the heat in the seats, steering wheel, and in the vehicle. They de-iced my windshield one day because my wipers were frozen to the windshield. I did tip extra for that. It was the least I could do. Because A.S. is located in The Village, it is in very close walking proximity to nearly everything, but a short drive up or down the mountain will give you access to the rest of the amenities and attractions of Snowshoe. Finally, if you stay at A.S. be sure to check out Cheat Mountain Pizza located on the bottom floor of A.S. A word of "caution" Cheat Mtn is currently not filling take-out orders, so it's a dine-in only.

Absolutely will never stay here again. 1. Not one staff member enforced the mask policy; staff wore them but many guests in the lobby, in full view of at least four staff (three at desk and manager (?) in office with the door open), didn't have them on at all with no intent to put them on (one lady had it on her wrist the whole time) or had the mask completely down around their chin. 2. Check-in was a huge hassle, I've had better experiences with the Hampton Inn in *rural* Pennsylvania. I called hours in advance (10:30am) to very nicely and politely request that *if* our room could be ready early, that would be great since traffic was less than planned. Of course they can't guarantee anything, I understand, but when checkout is 11am and you're asking to check in at 2pm, a 3-hour flip for housekeeping, it's not impossible. I was told my the employee that I'd been "pre-checked-in" so while not guaranteed, it wasn't impossible. At 2:15pm, room not ready, front desk staff have no clue when it will be. That's ok, I went down the mountain to the grocery store. At 4:10pm, still not ready, and now they can't even guarantee that it will be ready at 5pm, the official start of check-in, rather that it will be ready "between 5 and 6," per front desk. The f'd part? They're checking in people left and right (at 4:10pm). I'm not opposed to having a priority for members or something, but this kind of treatment received it's a bit BS when I went above and beyond to give staff ample time to make an early check-in possible. Seems like no one's heard of reaching out to the Head of Housekeeping to ask if Room X can be cleaned first, or in the first wave. It's not rocket science, it's communication and good business.

After a long drive we were greeted by an amazing bell hop service who unloaded our car and brought everything to the room. One of few resorts at Snowshoe village with a 24-hour customer service front desk. We had the one bedroom with full kitchen (game changer to be able to cook your own meals, homemade, just bring your own groceries). Kitchen has everything! (Like pots, pans, wooden spoon, kettle, standard size refrigerator, stove, even stemware). Outdoor whirlpools and heated outdoor pool. We go to Snowshoe every year and by far this one is the best! It's so awesome that the front is often featured in pictures, making Snowshoe village look so charming. It's the one with the clock tower right in the center of the village and walking distance, with your ski boots on. We will definitely stay here again.

Questions & Answers

Is the outdoor heated pool and whirlpool open, reservation time required to use facilities due to COVID measures?

One of the hot tubs is connected to the heated pool but not the other. However they are all heated independently. The jacuzzi not connected to the pool seemed to have less traffic from small children.

There's a huge lot, across the main road. Unload near the lobby, then park your car.

I would contact the main lodge management. If it was an ibo event and tell them when and where it was left. Pretty sure they will know how to help
