Beautiful little park in Swannonoa (sp?) We were visiting and this park was close by. There are dirt trails on one end that were fun for running or hiking. The sunrise and sunset are gorgeous here as the trees reflect in the water. Small gravel path to walk along as well as some creek crossing areas to wade in. We really enjoyed it!

Great place for a casual walk, lots of dog walking. You can loop around the ponds where you are near people, but this parking lot also allows you to walk the path along the Swannanoa River which is wooded and a bit more secluded - but not steep or difficult. Good place to bird with a robust public location on eBird.

I know you can at Lake Tomahawk but I have never seen them at Charles Owens....
