Terrible wait time and awful customer service. Waited 6 hours just for the person to tell me that I needed to have car insurance to switch over my license from one state from another when I don't even have a vehicle yet. I need a North Carolina license in order to get a car then get insurance for that car. Doesn't make any sense and was a waste of a day. Alos, be sure to print ALL documents before you come because they won't accept digital. Highest suggest going to another DMV though!

showed up after waiting forever in asheville. these gentlemen were kind and patient. just the people you want for your child on their birthday when taking the drivers license test for the first time. big thank you to these fine men.

An appointment is a good idea
You have to go online to schedule an appointment. They are backed way up.
They are open by appointment only, I am not sure about the road test being waived.
Go online to.the NCDMV website...chose the Marion location and schedule the appointment
Since they are by Appt only, when I was last there they were not answering phones because they were actively assisting customers. If for some reason they fall behind on their appts then phones appear to be secondary to individual with scheduled appts.
Go on the nc dmv website
You walk into waiting area and the computer screen will be on your right. Click the button that applies to you (new driver, renewal, CD, etc) then have a seat and wait until your number us displayed on the larger TV screen on the wall.
It's best to call or sometime your lucky to walk in all depends on the appts so get appointment
they are taking walk-ins but i recommend getting there at 730 am. you csn also go to ncdmv online appointments and make one there
Dmv still wants appointments, tag office is doing walk-ins
making an appt is recommended they reluctantly take walk ins and you have to wait for the ppl who have appts
It 100% depends on the day, their mood. They don't have to. Be prepared to stand outside and wait until they come outside to check you in. I waited for over an hour. They did let me swap my appointment, as you are asking, but the guy had to "ask his manager." I've been in this situation before and the manager said no. So it's a 50/50, in my experience.
Most likely you should get an appointment, there are also walk ins, but you might have to wait.
You have to call Raleigh and get on the waiting list. It will take up to 2-4 weeks for someone to call you back for a appointment.
Appointment needed you cannot just walk in
No. I just took my daughter to get hers last week and with getting the "real id" it was $14.
Go online make an appointment I had the same problem never got an answer so I went up there knocked on door and was told to make an appointment 🙃
It's up until a certain time of day for sure, before noon I think. Dont know about certain days
Where are the answers to the questions? Any point in asking?
There is an little screen across the row of chairs that you sign in at
