It took 4.5 hours to get a call back. I can only hope that the service would be faster if I had a gas leak. What is going on with customer service at the utilities?

With your gas dryer you are supposed to clean your lint trap after every drying cycle so that the lint that's in the Trap can get hot and can start a fire in your dryer so please make sure you change it

Hi Marie, NJNG does not make connections for any gas lines on the customer side of the meter or beyond. However, we do provide service to the gas main, service line and the meter. In addition, NJNG does respond to any safety concerns you may have with gas equipment inside your home. Hi Charles and Jack, The post you are referring to is a cathodic protection post, which serves multiple functions to ensure we provide safe, reliable service. The wires within the box travel along our main. When we do markouts, we send vibrations along those wires so we know where the main is and can mark it appropriately.
