My father and his companion have been living at Somerby for over a year now and are very pleased. Everyone is welcoming and all of the staff have been so helpful and friendly. Upper management personnel and maintenance department personnel have been particularly responsive to any inquiries and needs. We looked at several other places in Charleston before deciding on Somerby. I would highly recommend it.

He is more active than he ever has been, the staff are all amazing and seem to really love him like family, and the other residents all seem so happy. Taking your eyes off a loved one with dementia is terrifying, but I haven’t ever had to worry about his safety or care while at Somerby.

We have only been here for 2 weeks and we are very happy in our beautiful villa! We know that we made the correct choice in picking Somerby. The staff is so nice, friendly and helpful. The food is exceptionally good...we are thrilled. The only downside regarding the food is that we will both be 500 lbs. soon. We highly recommend Somerby to anyone who wants to retire in luxury.

My dad is a resident in memory care for about 5 weeks now. It took some time for him to get used to the routine as he misses my mom of 68 married years — the meals are excellent and he is eating fairly well. There is an issue w housekeeping on the weekends — nobody comes by to collect the garbage or clean up the bathroom or his room. Brittany has been amazing and very attentive to my parents. My mother visits almost daily. There is an issue w the night staff remembering to charge his hearing aides every night— it’s a bit upsetting as his children and grandchildren call on his phone and he can’t hear who is on the phone. We are hoping this gets better moving forward
