Update: They seem to have gotten their act together, and have had my order ready earlier then promised the last two times! PROS of Lapels (Walton Way Ext. near Wheeler Rd): They do a good job with the actual cleaning, including a good medium starch (unlike Forts, who admits they don't do medium, and for whom starch means "stands up by itself, impossible to get one's arm into a sleeve, and often with creases starched in"). CON #1 - They lost my clothes for the second straight time this week; I had to leave and make a special trip back later. If I hadn't had some unusual clothes I could describe to them, I'm not sure they ever would have found them. They were under somebody else's name (no resemblance to mine), who could conceivably have picked them up without looking at them. (I say this because, when I did pick them up, somebody else's clothes were included with mine, so I had to separate them just before I paid for the extra clothes and took them home with me.) No apology was offered (just the excuse), not to mention that a discount would have been appropriate to mitigate the extra trip, inconvenience, and worry (some of the clothes, specialty shirts, were needed the following day, and would have been impossible to replace in time and expensive to replace if lost). CON #2 - Unlike Forts, which generally has a 1-day turnaround, Lapels has a minimum 4-5 day turnaround, with seemingly no exceptions. Monday morning (first thing) means Friday afternoon (late in the day), and that is the shortest one. My Thursday morning clothes were slated for the following Tuesday afternoon, and they would not move it up to Monday (I knew I couldn't get there between Monday and Friday). And then when I went on Friday, three days after they should have been ready, they'll couldn't find them (see above).

I have passed by the business for years using dry cleaners closer by. Now that I moved they are right on the way to work and home so have begun using them. Extremely nice personnel, very professional, clean facility, and quick service with my suits and dress shirts dry cleaning. They do ties as well. I’m sure I will be a regular customer.
