I am posting this because it upsets me a great deal when I read negative reviews about Tallwoods Care Center, my husband Frank had been there twice in the last year each time for 3 months and the staff there is incredible, they took great care of my husband from the therapy dept to the Pine unit, they gave a great deal of empathy for their patients and they all work hard so the patient can reach their goal. The therapy dept especially Jay and Melissa took the time to get my husband back on his feet my husband just loved all of them there. The Pine unit where my husband was staying was always attentive Kari, Seth Janet and all the order nurses always were there for both of us. The aides who I loved Georgia,Janice,Taylor,Gina,Chris,Renane and JP all work together to help their patients with day to day living. Milec the night nurse always went out of his way to help me put my husband in his bed he is amazing and my husband just loved him. Ahuvia is a beautiful person, she was my husbands social worker and she has so much empathy for you like you were her own family just love her would always greet me with a smile.I saved the best for last Michael the Administrator I can’t say enough good things about him, he is always there for his patients, always with a kind word for everyone, would always tell me we are here for you, he is a beautiful person with such a good heart. When they have entertainment on Fri you always see Michael overseeing everything. He always has a hello when he sees my husband and asks how he is doing. I could ho on and on about Tallwoods, but all I know is I would recommend Tallwoods to anyone, that is the only facility I will ever go to, they are not just staff, they treat you like family. Thank you once again Tallwoods for making my husbands stay a pleasant one will miss everyone there ❤️

Been here twice during the last three months. Place is clean, open and airy. 2 nd floor rehabilitation. Park area with gazebo and chairs. Halfway decent food.

My Mom was recently in Tallwoods for Dementia Care. The staff was very uneducated on how to care for elderly with Dementia. I felt that she was neglected even with my siblings and I there 2x a day. The way people were treated was appalling. The walk into the lobby, Beautiful. Past those double doors onto a unit, horrific. Very understaffed, and the staff that was available were always on their phones instead of watching the patients. Very dirty unit upstairs, Staff really didn't seem to care for the patients. Activities seems to work all over the place and not enough activities daily to keep residents with dementia occupied. Sitting in front of a television watching endless shows is not spending valuable time with your patients. Rooms seem to be outdated and hallways smelled of urine.
