It is challenging to get garages and it seems car break ins are a constant issue.

Long but stay with me: I just moved into the complex. Single woman in her 30's, moved from Ohio to Charleston a little over a week ago, rented my unit without seeing it in person first. This complex is super nice, well lit at night with plenty of sidewalks and walking paths, feels safe. I walk my dog at night here and feel totally fine within the community. The neighborhood of Park Circle is safe as well, walkable, etc. To the west of the apartment complex is still "up and coming" so not an area I would recommend walking alone as a woman. The one-bed unit I'm in is in the Phase 1 (A2 floorplan I believe) and even with a smaller square footage, it feels very spacious. Super high ceilings, tall windows, lots of natural light. Apartments are modern and bright and airy. Noise between units seems minimal so far to me. I can hear my upstairs neighbor walk around and hear his dog when it barks, but it isn't anywhere near as noticeable as other apartments I've lived in. Maintenance has been super quick thus far with requests. There are three "cons" that I can think of: 1) the leasing office seems to be understaffed currently (although this hasn't been explicitly said to me). communication has been not the greatest at times but I know that the few people working have a lot of residents to assist, so it's good to keep that in mind. (Shantell in the office is great, I worked with her through the whole process and she's lovely). 2) Phone service/reception is a HUGE issue. This isn't the fault of the apartment complex by any means, but it is important for anyone to know before moving in. I have almost no cell reception in my apartment. It took me a few days to get wifi installed so for the first several days I couldn't do anything with my phone. No data, no calls, nothing. Now that I have wifi its less of an issue but just now I had to walk outside and into a small park next to my apartment (in the rain) in order to have enough service to call my bank. (I'm on ATT, my dad had the same issue on Verizon while here.) If you WFH and take a lot of phone calls, maybe not the spot for you. I looked it up an evidently cell service is an issue in this part of North Charleston (not enough towers). Hopefully that changes soon. (docked a star specifically because of this). 3) there are no grocery stores in the area. I drive about 15-30 minutes depending on traffic to the nearest decent grocery. Overall, I like the apartments. The pool is nice, package room has been a breeze to use, and safety is worth every penny to me. Super dog friendly here too.

Had my car broken into a couple of times.

I renewed my lease here after a few months of enjoyable living. I had an issue with my apartment the day of move in and the entire team worked quickly to get everything resolved for me- and were kind and accommodating, even though tension was a bit high that day. Since then, all maintenance requests have been handled within the same day, and I've had no issues that haven't been resolved simply and easily. With all the rent increases across multiple locations in North Charleston, this complex by Grubb Properties has genuinely kept the prices steady and reasonable, and hasn't fallen into the 70-80% increases other complexes have in the area. All of the facilities are maintained well, and the package lockers are a huge plus. I saw some of the other reviews below about the crime in the area- and since their posting there hasn't been much in the vicinity of the complex at all. There's usually at least 1 North Charleston police officer in the area at all times and the area feels safe. If you're on the fence about living here, communicate with the staff team, they are extremely helpful and explain everything clearly and truthfully in my experience. It's really a great place to live, close to everything in Park Circle too.

One bedroom starts at 1600 per month
It depends on the location of the apartment and how many bedrooms/how big it is. 1-bedrooms start at about $1065/month and 2-bedrooms can be upwards of $1500/month. This is the floor plans section of their website and they have the prices listed out there: https://www.linkapartmentsmixson.com/floorplans
