When I first moved in, in the summer of 2020 they had just gotten new management but were friendly enough and all was well. When it came time to renew my lease 12 months later the rent went up by $300 but they had not improved or updated the complex by any means so I am unsure what we could possibly be paying for outside of the natural increase of cost of living. The next time they lease came around it was another $250 as an EARLY BIRD SPECIAL so imagine what the other rate would have been. Since the previous lease, all they had added was benches in the dog park, they REMOVED the grill (it rarely worked anyway but you’re also not allowed to have your own grill on your patios) and the trash compactor regularly broke. They also newly added valet trash with zero opting out. At that point we couldn’t justify living there anymore. They have absolutely zero loyalty to current tenants whether you’re always on time with payments or not. If you stay here for more than 6 months you’ll see every staff member change in the front office, zero continuity of workers and they feel the need to change everything every time. They don’t answer emails, they barely answer the phone, you’ll probably never talk to the same person twice. Moving out is almost worst than just continuing to live there. Good luck trying to schedule your move out walk thru with them, they won’t accommodate you and they’ll make sure you’re charged for things that didn’t even exist in your apartment. If you hope to see your security deposit after move out, good luck. It’s been 3 months and I get a different story every time I call. If you have any packages sent there on accident after you move and hope to retrieve them they’ll tell you they haven’t heard a thing and refuse to inquire. For how expensive it is to live here, there is a lot of extremely sketchy activities that go on, to include tenants they allow to live there. Tenants were reported numerous times by multiple parties for dealing drugs and stealing packages but they absolutely would not evict them. From the outside, the slate seems like a pretty good place to live. Inside the apartments are nice and pretty spacious and the amenities are fairly good but all the other shady activities that go on stemming from the front office is enough to avoid this place.
