After having gone to two other repair places, AAMCO at 2530 Pleasant Hill Rd (specifically, Ron) was able to tell me exactly what was wrong. Although it did not involve the transmission and it was not the type of work they do, Ron told me what needed to be done, recommended a particular Firestone, and even called ahead to explain the issues so when I got there, they already had a head start. This was beyond great service and I greatly appreciate it. The car was repaired within a reasonable time and at an affordable price.i would recommend this AAMCO highly.

Ron and Brent were very professional and helpful. They really tried their best to show me all the options available to me and helped me find the best one for me. Price was very affordable and reasonable in my opinion. Willing to answer all my questions. My transmission went out on a Friday and was back on the road the following Friday super quick and amazing of course time will depend on how quick parts arrive at their shop and of course something like that is out of their control but once they got everything they need they go to work. Just truly an amazing and painless experience. 100% recommend these guys.

My younger brother Sam recommended this shop to me and referred me to Ron for what I thought was a transmission issue with my 2005 Toyota Highlander. From my interactions with Ron over the phone and in person, I found Ron to be responsive and honest. He answered my questions and helped me understand the issue (a malfunctioning internal computer) that had caused my vehicle to incorrectly receive a signal from the computer and not operate as it should operate. Since I could not remember the last time I had drained my transmission fluid or if I had ever drained the transmission fluid from my vehicle (my own fault), Ron recommended that I not do anything to disturb the still functioning transmission, since the installation of a new computer seemed to have rectified the grinding noises I had first heard while driving. I appreciated Ron not attempting to sell me a product or service that I did not need (yet) but instead advising me to drive my vehicle (perhaps a year or longer) until it would be apparent that the only solution would be a new transmission. This is what I appreciate and respect from a mechanic or any service oriented professional - properly educating the consumer to know the best course of action he or she should take and not working to bend the truth or recommend a service or part that is not in fact and truth needed (at least not now). Honesty is the best policy and that is how any person should do business. And honestly educating the consumer to know how to proceed sits right at the top there too. Thank you, Ron.

At all AAMCO locations we strive to get your vehicle repaired as quickly as possible, however different repairs or services will take different lengths of time and we will never sacrifice quality for speed. We will have a better estimate of completion time when after we perform our Vehicle Courtesy Check of your vehicle
Depending on your driving habits and the type of transmission your vehicle is equipped with, manufacturers’ recommendations can be as often as30,000 miles or as much as 80,000 miles. Always check your owner’s manual for the proper time and mileage intervals and type of fluids your vehicle requires.
After the initial Vehicle Courtesy Check review of the systems related to your stated concern with the vehicle, at this point, you have little or no cost applied yet. The process of actually diagnosing and pinpointing the problem on a vehicle in order to only repair or replace exactly what is causing the issue and nothing more can be quite involved and it is worth paying a skilled diagnostician to properly diagnose and repair your vehicle's problem. In the end, this process saves you money and helps ensure the proper repair is done correctly the first time.
AAMCO uses high-quality new, re-manufactured, and reclaimed parts, where necessary, to bring your vehicle up to (OEM) original manufacturer specifications.

Should be an easy question but it's not! If your converter went bad? Where did the bad stuff go? The filter that is embedded in the center of the unit. An the job always involves bad mounts /cv axles /rear main seals /valve covers/ pcv valves hoses /air filter /radiators/water pump/ timing belt/ spark plugs/ ignition coils/brake switches / struts/ and always whatever made your converter go bad in the first place stuck valve/ solenoid/ grounded wire / tps /map/cat /but hey if you got the converter an it's a regular front wheel tl 600 bucks all day! but I reccomend you let us check your car properly before any major repairs. There's usually a small fee that goes toward any repairs we do
