Good place to spend a few hours with young kids. Pros: Cosy place with nice collection of birds/ animals, and hands on sensory experiences for toddlers/ young kids. Cons: The employees in kids play areas mostly keep to themselves instead of interacting with or encouraging kids . Unfortunately, not enough activities/ attractions to go on a regular basis. ,( Multiple times)

For our family, the membership pass is worth it. We ride our bikes & park them at the racks right out front. The indoor exploration area has many interesting & interactive displays for all ages. The infant area is safe with a no-shoe policy & is enclosed to keep little ones from venturing too far. The zoo area is simple but sufficient, especially for the reasonable admission price. A great value & a fun family experience.

A friend got us tickets to check the place out and we loved it! Would recommend if you’re looking for a place to keep your kid entertained for 2-3 hours. The museum was filled with experiments and activities that kept children intrigued and occupied. The zoo outside was awesome too.

This is an interesting place for kids to use their energy and have fun. Indoor space is not very spacious so expect to be crowded. Feeding flamingos is an exciting experience. EV charging spots are available near the front entrance.

Yes. I believe tues through Fri its open. So cute
No. It's only a small place with a small collection of working machines in the museum and few animals/birds in the zoo. But you can pass about 45 mins to 1 hour here with kids.
Yes. You can nurse anywhere but there is a quiet(er) section next to the baby section with a chair for nursing moms. You might need to ask someone to move that is just sitting there. There is a sign saying that it is for nursing mothers and those needing a break from all the sensory input.
Yes. During renovations they are at Cubberly Community Center on Middlefield Road
Great for a 15 month old. They like the animals and running around the exhibits outside. Science is pretty accessible to a small child. Turn the crank, the water flows and the lights come on. Definitely worth the 30 minute drive. Closed Mondays. Also there is a special baby section inside.
Only 13 to 16
I work there as a volunteer and we were just talking about this matter. As mentioned in a previous post, before the reopening of the remodeled museum we are not taking any donations. There is just not enough space to store things appropriately. But thank you very much for considering the JMZ and good luck with finding a new home for the painting.
I came there twice. First time on the morning around 10:30am, saw it for short time and then it hide somewhere. Second time came there on the afternoon around 4pm, and saw it for long time.
Complimentary entry. Just has donation box in the lobby of the front door, suggest $5 per person.
