I came here as an 18-year-old seeking a learning disability diagnosis. My high school had said that they could do testing in 2.5 hours, but my mother knew from previous experience with my older siblings that it wasn't enough time for accurate results, so we opted for independent testing. We don't have health insurance, so the out-of-pocket cost was nearly $3,000, but well worth it! I had a full 5-6 hours of testing with Dr. Hembree, who was very kind and accomodating; in the end, she put together a 15-page report of my results and took the time to make sure we went through it all thoroughly so that I completely understand what it means and how to use it. I had to schedule my testing almost a month in advance and then got my results 3 weeks after the testing, so the process takes time, but gives thorough answers. Also, their office, is awesome! The back rooms are a bit of a maze, but the whole place is beautifully decorated and cozy. Shout out to Ms. Evans for answering and forwarding all my emails when needed! Thank y'all so much!

The receptionist in the staff were extremely nice so I was happy about that. But they don’t take a lot of insurances we even paid ahead upfront but they spent an hour asking me questions and not really my daughter just to conclude that for some reason they don’t think they are the best fit for her and referred us out to another counselor he was not nearly as polite as they were and told me I had an appointment in late November to call back and find out they never made one at all and I mysteriously don’t see children. I am finding that behavioral health for children is discouraging in Savannah.

Questions & Answers

What insurance do the exept

We are considered "in-network" for insurances that are part of the Care Network and Memorial Health Partners. Many people may not realize that although we are out-of-network with many insurance plans, they can still use their insurance benefits. You can use HSA or FSA funds to pay for services, and we provide a superbill that can be submitted for reimbursement according to out-of-network benefits.

Do you test for autism in small children (1-2 years)? And, do I need a referral to set an appointment?

Yes, we conduct evidence-based autism evaluations for young children, starting around 18 months of age. We have three licensed psychologists, all of whom specialize in developmental and autism evaluations. Although many people choose to have their pediatricians send a referral, we do not require a referral to schedule an appointment. You can simply call our office at (912) 436-6789. Thank you for your interest, and please reach out if you have any additional questions. Sincerely, Dr. Kristi Duke
