Kenmore top load washer, only a little over a year old, stopped working. Called repair center, was told by one of your agents that the price for a technician to come out and diagnose the problem would be 89.00, and that this fee would be applied to the repair bill. The technician called and when questioned, said this was not right. The diagnostic fee was a separate charge, and if he repaired anything, even something as small as a broken wire, there would be a 116.00 fee added on, plus the parts needed, also saying the control board that was probably the problem, was approximately $288.00, which totals up to 493.00, which was app. 100.00 more than I paid for the machine when purchased. Previous technicians have said the hard water at my son's house was the problem, which I know is total Bull Malarkey, because I have hard water at my house also, and my machines, the cheapest model I can buy, last for years.This is the 2nd Kenmore washer I've bought from Sears, both have been JUNK!!! I will not be buying anymore, not using your service department, as it is a rip off.
