Well in my case your lawsuit has to be settled or at least about to settle it can't be new, like you just started the process
An attorney should always serve the best interest of his / her client. If a client is behind on their mortgage, it is better for them to accept a low cost loan from us vs losing their home. A $1,000 loan from us for up to 2 years only costs $320 and that is paid back when the case settles. If for some reason the case doesn't settle, then the client owes us nothing. Most attorneys are grateful that we work with their clients. We are there when people need us the most.
