I made arraignments months prior to the needed service date to transport my disabled mother between stops for my fathers funeral. There were regular updates prior to the date of service. The agreed upon arraignment was to have a van and driver assigned and available for the day. Driver showed up promptly for the first pick up and dropped us off at the church for the visitation and funeral mass. Was assured he would be “right back after another transport”. After the funeral there’s was no driver. We waited then called to be told “15 minutes”. After 20 minutes I called again and was told “10 minutes”. After 15 minutes we gave up and did six manual transfers from wheelchair to car throughout the day. While waiting for the driver’s return there were 90 people lined up behind a hearse blocking street traffic and an honor guard waiting at the cemetery in the cold rain and wind. The family is very upset at the poor service and lack of respect. The driver did try to contact me but I was not interested in communicating with him during a grave-site service of a WW2 veteran and our father. Did speak to the ACC manager two days later. Apologies and no charge but the damage was done. Can not recommend ACC for transport.
