Not all leaking roofs need to be replaced because it depends on the extent of the damage. On a relatively new roof, it may be cost-effective to repair it. But if the damage is more extensive and involves an older roof a full replacement is most likely in order.
It's important to not under or over ventilate your roof so it's best to refer to the building code.
Work with a local company that has been in business for several years. And look at the companies reviews on Google and the Better Business Bureau.
The typical roof installation takes a day or two depending on the selected materials and the size of the roofing crew.
Most roofs begin to show signs of wear and tear after about 20 years. They may last longer without leaking, but they begin to look old and most are replaced in about 20-30 years.
