It was ridiculously easy to return a car rental here - no physical examination or walk through of the vehicle - just a handoff of the keys in return for the receipt. We were in and out in under a couple minutes. The employees were fairly pleasant as well, which is something that is rather uncommon at most car rental agencies I’ve experienced.

I was wrongfully refused rental because the counter agent falsely claimed that there was something wrong with my credit card when it was actually the location's credit card terminal itself. As for most people, it is always someone else's fault when something goes wrong. I NEVER had any issues using my credit card at any merchant that accepts credit cards besides the Hertz locations in the Minneapolis/St. Paul region. The agent that served me said that it could not swipe my credit card or enter the card number in manually. She said that this would get her fired and cause her to lose her job. This is really stupid and makes no sense. How did Hertz process credit and debit cards before chip cards came along? What is the purpose of the magnetic strip on the back of every debit and credit card? I have been places where whenever the card reader is not working properly and/or if there was something wrong with the chip in the card, the merchant either swiped the credit card or entered the credit card number manually to process a transaction with no hassles. It appeared that the counter agent that served me was prejudiced against me and did not want me to pick up the rental car reserved with Hertz.

Hertz didn’t return my deposit or credit the days I returned the car earlier..DeeDee is very rude and will say nothing but lies they basically will steal your money and say/think that you can’t do anything about it .. very rude and unprofessional and the billing department doesn’t know anything nor care

They picked me up from Auto shop and brought me to Hertz for vehicle.
