Always had a good experience here. The employees are quick to help with whatever is needed, and for a tiny store, they have a legit variety on fishing gears.

I was there 2 weeks ago, and they had plenty of live bait including suckers and fat heads
I'm pretty sure it's driveable at Bayport. But below the Hudson bridge may be sketchy. I would suggest taking a ride down there to see. I'm sure you'll see where it's safe by where the cars are and where they are not.
They sell lots of fishing lures includeing muskey lures, live bait fishing licenses, rods and reels and propane.
They have all kinds of minnows and they are very helpful with any questions you have
Call your local Marina and they should be able to help you out.
