Love living there, your able to get done what needs to get done. It's a shelter, but their security is trash π.

I was a chef there recently and the management in the kitchen got their positions because of the color of their skin, because I know personally neither one is qualified to do the job. They dont care about the residents so in hand they don't care about the quality of food that comes out the kitchen and I have seen this countless times from the management. They have two good cooks there that work m-f and usually cook the afternoon meals.

You HAVE to follow the rules and understand that you're lucky to not live in the street and that you have your own room and a bathroom all your own. They don't take your money anymore (maybe it will change, but I get to keep all of mine). Staff is nice if you are kind to them. Guests here are bored so want to start drama. DO NOT FEED INTO IT. If you do, you'll be miserable and prob kicked out. Just smile and fake it til you make it. You'll need therapy (we all do). Work to get out of here, be kind and just do what you have to do to get by and you'll be fine. Go on buy nothing groups for an air purifier. You'll need it as there is no ventilation here. No windows open. Get a fan from the front and point it out towards your OPEN door to get some of that old air out. The food is unhealthy and not the best. Eat healthy. Your brain needs it. Free clinic here, take advantage of it!! Ask for ANYTHING you need before you buy stuff. Kindly speak up for yourself to staff. Follow the rules and you'll be fine. Kids can be super mean to other kids (not always). Watch your kids!

I don't know when i was staying there they was taking everything but the only good thing about that is they save all the money and once you move out in to your own apartment they give you all your money back
Is this about how high is meat π or everything π€ π³ π?
Yes they do
I've seen a family of 7 roomed together but the children were young. I'm sure you can get placed in here but I'm not sure on how they would room you all (together or separately). Hope that helps
They do help with bus tokens, they do help with filling out applications, resumes, etc. They do offer computer classes, and help building a resume. They have a lot of services. You can even get clothes for your interview.
This is entirely wrong. They help you find free clothing closets for adults and children. Even donations on the counters at the desks almost daily.
I'm allergic to to dairy and pork and I can say that they always are sensitive to my needs. Again the food may not be what you would make for yourself but it is edible and you also have food stamps to buy what you like. They give x amount of diapers per child per day. I was even given extra when my son had an allergic reaction to similac formula.
Yes you should bring your stroller and yes you will have your own room and they will take every penny you have plus out your bank account and job check as well you should check into [mary's place] and also families moving forward being they dont charge you a penny and you can save your money
All the volunteers are part of a culinary school, they don't really accept anyone out of their circle. Try salvation army
