This place is the best! You can get rid of all of your plastic film, cardboard, household electronics and appliances, old tires, new tires come to think of it, and pretty much anything in between. It's either free, or the ridiculously low price. The best part is, you know that everything is going to be recycled, so there's a little bit of a feel-good aspect to it too.

Hennepin Hazardous Waste Dropoff and Transfer Station. I use Brooklyn park one
Their website spells everything out very clearly.
TV's?
Absolutely. there's help available if you need it.
We have a Free Product Area with select paints and other household chemicals. It is open during our regular hours. Just come in, fill out the form, and enjoy your paint!
Hennepin County recycling center in Brooklyn Park MN
Don't think so. That would be yard waste.
If you live in Minneapolis proper you can get a voucher for the south transfer station. Burnsville landfill is full in their contruction and demolition section. You can call your city solid waste for recommended spots closest to your location.
Empty paint cans - leave the lids off and can throw in the garbage. If not empty, leave in a dry place with lid off and once paint dries, can throw in garbage.
No, hazardous waste is defined as wet paint (dry paint is fine), and basically any kind of chemical that isn't water, which includes liquid or dry chemicals.
Yup, but not on Monday
No.
Advanced Disposal in St. Paul
Yes, they take it in 5 gallon containers or smaller, from residents (no businesses). https://www.hennepin.us/green-disposal-guide/items/gas-and-fuels
Yes they do.
Empty paint cans can go in your trash can at home. And we accept paint cans at that size.
We do not, I would recommend calling your local garbage hauler/landfill for proper disposal instructions.
Simple answer... no....
3 dollars per tire. No tires larger than 4 feet.
Yes, they are $20 each piece.
We can accept 1 pound propane tanks, but larger ones like the 20 pound ones on a household grill can be disposed of at places like Lakes Gas or Blue Rhino.
Yes
$15 for all appliances.
$20 per piece. So if you have a mattress as well as a box spring the total cost of disposal would be $40. If you have a king size mattress with 2 box springs the total would amount to $60. Hope this answers your question!
