I came in with an iPhone model with a known hardware fault. After running diagnostics on my iPhone they determined that it was in fact a manufacturing issue. Solution? “buy a new iPhone! they are much better than your old POS!”

I would schedule an appointment just in case it needs to go to a technician. Otherwise you're at the mercy of however long the wait is until one is available.

Wife is the mac person but in the PC world your CD driver(the piece of software that is part of the operating system) is most likely corrupt. Should be just a matter of reinstalling driver software.

Yes, you need an appointment but I recommend going to cell tech there. The people there can repair your screen on the spot and it is about $130 give or take. Also if you go to apple they might just say get a new phone

How do I schedule an appointment with Genius Bar? I'm told I can schedule online, but I'm not "techy" enough to know how to do that. When I've called the phone line in the past, I'm put on hold for 20 minutes or more, and never get help.

there is a black rectangle box in the lower part of the screen that is discribing every function that I am doing - it appeared yesterday when our grandchild did "something" with the computer. Don't know how to get rid of it.

Phone run over by heavy equipment at jobsite. Screen replaced already locally but can you repair/replace a damaged camera and lens? Torch light also does not work. If you can repair, how long will you need the phone and how much will it cost?

It will cost more than buying a used one. Unless you have applecare which discounts that. I suggest getting a used one or new one
