No help! People were nice though.

They keep making mistakes and then try to hold the claimant accountable. They just deposited 600 dollars into my bank account. I haven't had a claim with them in four years, and I would probably starve before I accepted their help ever again. They told me I had to wait ten days to help them fix their own mistake, meanwhile I have gotten letters from these people where they expected a response withing two days. Corrupt as corrupt gets.

I was told by my local office over a month ago that I had to call the toll free numbers. That they weren't allowed to answer any questions about unemployment back pay. I couldn't get past receptionists.
Can't go in at the moment. There are several numbers on the door none of which anyone answers. I think one has a voice mail. I left a message on it almost a month ago haven't gotten a response.
Why no one answering the phone at the vec office
Getting thru to talk to someone is crazy. They have 3 tiers of answering machine. First it just tells you to call back. Next it ask would you like a summary of your claim. Always press 1, cause then it will ask if you'd like to speak to an agent. Most of the time it will end right there...ending the 2nd step. It's been so few times I've actually made it thru I can't remember the next question, but thats the last phase before you find out there is 3,000 people in front of you. If you ever get on the list, they will call from a RESTRICTED number. Good luck 👍
Go to Walmart and get your meds. They are the cheapest place to get prescriptions anywhere.

Yes. Google va. Unemployment Commission
Yes, read all about it at vec.virginia.gov
You may file an unemployment insurance claim but it will have to be adjudicated for a decision (qualified or disqualified) due to the resignation. The UI law sees a resignation as a "quit" however, if theres "good cause" for the "quit", sounds like it is, then you be able to receive UI payments.
