We totally enjoyed the tour of Thomas Edison's estate. The history of the mansion is quite interesting. We highly recommend it.

Interesting laboratory, helpful staff.

Great to see the machine shops, chemistry lab, and other areas

We too didn't see the Mansion. The answers were all either in the short movie that is constantly streaming in the entrance building and or in the main lab building. Some questions were nit that obvious but if your kids aren't shy the Rangers are more than willing to help!
There are predefined talks by ranagers... u will enjoy them...after that u can explore on yourself
Please contact them asap. They offer a program for school and nonprofits. However, with the recent budget cuts I don't think program exist. Please contact the Park Sup. For more info.
Mr. Edison invented and patented many items. Following the end of the talk his inventions are on display. My favorite was the record player in the car battery.

Yes, between early April and December. Nut call ahead as they have been doing renovations and restoration of late.
Actually it's open Wednesday thru Sunday from 10:00 to 4:00.
I think they close the main gate. The house you need a pass
Correct all buildings are closed; no touring at this time. However, you can visit the grounds for free Friday through Sunday 11am-4pm. You have to get a ticket across the street from the park ranger where the factory and other outbuildings are located.
There is a parking lot across the street from the park/ factory office.
Don't remember exact amount but it was around $15. It's worth the price. Get to see where a man changed history!
Alone is fine although I went with other people. If you want a tour of some of the areas, get there early to reserve a time. Lots to see and very interesting to see the beginnings of modern research.
Its 15 per person, you can visit his factory-museum, and also you can go to his mansion, which is 2 minutes y car. Mansion includes in this money, it's on the private territory, so employees should give pass card for car
And it's decorated for christmss!!!
Thomas Edison died of complications of diabetes on October 18, 1931, in his home, "Glenmont," in West Orange, New Jersey. He was 84 years old.
Only part of it, I think, one building I visited Is basically the way it was when Edison used it. Almost everything is original
Climate controlled, wheelchair friendly and clean
No. It's a group of laboratory buildings much as they were in Edison's time.
