Very nice place. Very historic. Very clean and kept up with. The staff is very helpful and friendly. I could spend days there. And it's so peaceful to just longe back and read a book.

This library is by far one of the greatest community services I've seen so far. The staff is very helpful and they're knowledgeable. This library has inviting energy and is modern and has something for everyone here! They have your standard sections of books in an interesting 3 floor section, they rent video games, dvd's, Cd's, audiobooks and more!! They offer classes on tech literacy, kids programs, reading activities, giveaways and more, all to help inspire reading and learning to everyone regardless of age. I'm so excited to go back and spend more time here. A Library is a key community resource and Albright Memorial does it right.

You can call the Reference Department directly at (570) 348-3000 ext. 3008 and ask for Maura. Maura manages the proctor exam services here at the library.

Hi Briana, we do have copies of both books. If you search our online catalog at https://lackawanna.sparkpa.org/eg/opac/home, you can find your book and place it on hold to pick up during your next visit. We also have a display of summer reading materials on the main floor of the library which may have your books as well. Thank you for reaching out.
Hello April, yes we do. Our microfilm machines and newspapers are located in the Reference Department, second floor of the library. You can ask a Reference Librarian at the desk if you need help searching for the newspaper and getting started on the machine. Some of the machines do let you print in black and white. It is 10 cents per page. You can reach the Reference Department directly by calling (570) 348-3000 ext. 3008. Thank you for reaching out.

Hello Ebonee, All of the answers below are correct. Thank you to our kind community members for responding! Once you sign up for a library card yourself, you can also sign your son up for his own card. We do require a proof of address so we know you are a resident of Lackawanna County, and so we can mail your card to you. If you sign up in person, we will give you a temporary slip of paper that has your new library card number on it so you can check out an item and use the library's computers. If you sign up online through the link provided below, you will receive your library card directly through the mail (generally 7-10 days). You can always call us for more information at (570) 348-3000 ext. 3002. Thank you for reaching out, and we hope to see you in the near future!
Yes and if you can't find the one you want ask one of the librarians to check for you and if its checked out they can put it on hold for you
Hello! Your nephew doesn't need a library card to use the library's public spaces for studying. Our reference department on the second floor has open tables, wifi, and a place to plug in his laptop if needed. However, if he needs to use one of the library's computers, he does need a library card or he can get a guest pass for $1, which gives him up to 6 hours for one day on the library computers. Signing up for a library card is free as long as he is a resident of Lackawanna County. Thank you for reaching out.
Hello, Rita. Thank you for reaching out. We have a crochet class for beginners that has been completely filled with attendees. We hope to continue the class into the Fall and Winter, but this is dependent on the instructor's availability. If you give our Community Relations Officer, Jess, a call, she can put you on the notification list for the crochet classes. Our number is 570-348-3000.
