These people are crooks, on my visit about a year ago, I paid out of pocket, cash for doctors appointment and ultrasound $450, did some labs which ended up costing me $653 . Now i call in to schedule another annual and they claim I never paid them for my last visit, how is it possible I didn't pay and the doctor saw me? The receptionist I saw on that day got cash from me otherwise the doctor wouldn't see me. because with out of pocket visits, you pay before you see the doctor. BE VERY CAREFUL IF YOU GO HERE, THE ARE NOT HONEST WHEN IT COMES TO MONEY! There are other reviews saying the same thing so beware!

Very sketchy billing practices. The lady at the front desk stated that the office would not talk to our insurance even though Blue Cross had questions about their coding (coding affects what insurance will cover and not). The lady continued to talk over me and stated "we don't have time to talk to insurance" which is odd since that's how they get paid. She also refused to send my wife's medical records to her new doctor until we paid in cash which is illegal. Update due to their response: my insurance company contacted the office multiple times; the office wouldn't return the calls. Lady at the front desk repeatedly changed her story about who was in charge of billing and DIRECTLY told us she would not send records until we paid out of pocket for the bill. I was respectful (but frustrated) the entire time; if I'm the most difficult person you've ever dealt with, healthcare is not for you!

Will never go back , had a UTI , was prescribed and directed to take antibiotics before my test results came back , pills never treated it. Called back the office the day my tests arrived spoke to a very rude lady receptionist who wouldn’t pass to doctor my situation. So , with no insurance I spent 282 usd for all kind of tests and 150 for an office visit and no result . If I want to ask doctor a question or different prescription I should make another 150 dollar appointment.

I've been seeing Dr. Akita for several years. Best obgyn I've ever had. She's easy to talk to and makes me feel at ease and thoroughly informed.
