Well I was sent to Dr. McCord by my workers comp and can only say he made my cry (in a good way). I can only hope he's as real as he seems cause that ain't normal anymore and we need Dr.s like that back again.

Dr. McCord was absolutely wonderful to deal with! I was 25 when I had a major disc rupture in my lumbar region and was not able to walk. With McCords surgical process I was able to recover from surgery with amazing results that have been perfect for over 10 years. I am able to walk, run and still completely pain free. I have a better of quality of life now than before my injury. He is the best!! His office is not the easiest to deal with and are very disorganized, but it is worth it to see Dr. McCord and the nursing staff.

Dr McCord will only do surgery if it is absolutely necessary. Also, I love his bedside manner!!! Everyone in his office is as nice as Dr McCord. I would not need surgery again but I fell at the dog park in Franklin, Tn FLAT on my Butt. Dr McCord put me in physical therapy for 8 weeks. I wish it had helped. I believe he will do his best and I will be back to wonderful myself soon!!!

Dr. McCord did surgery on my spine after a few months of being unable keep up my everyday activities. I was unable to ride any distance in the car without pain meds. I won't say that immediately I got my life back but after three months I am able to do most of the things I want and need to do. I would be lying to say I'm pain free but since I have rheumatoid arthritis also, I never expected to be. I still have some numbness and stinging in my legs, which at times is very uncomfortable but I can live my life instead of sitting and watching it go by. I like to travel and the surgery has made it possible to take a trip to one of my favorite beaches soon. No, I'm not 100% but closer than I was three months ago.

He took Medicare.

I had C2- T-3 fused with rods anterior and posterior. The muscles were cut and partial removed, or maybe all of them, not sure. My head seems way too heavy for my neck to support, neck stays in a strain. Knots on my back. 11 mths now, will it heal?

I can't answer that question since I'm not a doctor. You should ask that question to Dr McCord. Very sorry for what you are going through!

Do you ever get to New York? I live about 50 minutes from NYC. I don't know what to do about this sciatica and torn Herniated disc. Can you suggest any Doctors in the NYC or Westchester County area?? other than yourself?
