Proper clothing is allowed, no dress code.. everyone should have proper clothing...shorts not allowed inside the main Temple premises, no restrictions visiting outdoor campus..😷

So how can I go visit this place and take my son for a stroll here on Saturday? Do I have to make an appointment or can I just go in?

They are open year-round. Visit any time they are open, but I would recommend going when an event of some kind is scheduled.

Outside food is not allowed. Though you wont find any such kind of instructions , i dont feel comfortable to bring the food to the temple as it is very auspicious. But you may find the snacks and food at very nominal price at the campus (in cafeteria as well as in the gift shop.
