My experience with Nourish was incredible. I was grateful for how they worked with my insurance and took on all that leg work and I was so pleased to find a dietitian who was knowledgeable about intuitive eating and a health at every size (HAES) approach. I worked with Teryn and I really loved working with her - I especially appreciated how she approached foods that were important to my culture and really centered my goals.

Really enjoyed my appointment with Julie. She suggested some concrete but easy steps to get started and made this feel very doable for my lifestyle

I had an amazing nutritionist at Nourish. She was very pleasant, experienced, insightful, and knowledgeable. Unfortunately, I ran into some issues with the administrative staff of the practice. There was a break in communication between my insurance and the practice, which caused my claims to be denied (instead of fully covered). The (then) practice manager was not pleasant, and would not wait for my insurance appeal to be resolved before attempting to charge my card for the full amounts. It was extremely frustrating! However, the owner of the practice reached out to me, personally, to resolve the issue. Eventually, my insurance appeal was approved, and the practice manager was dealt with accordingly. Overall, I would recommend Nourish, but would caution patients to be diligent about their insurance coverage with the practice (if applicable), to avoid a situation like mine.

Sessions with Melanie have been a life-changing experience. I learned a lot about nutrients and how to trust my body in leading me to food choices. Definitely helped ease anxiety around food groups and follow my intuition. I went to a “traditional” nutritionist last year, and that encounter led me to yet another meal plan (read:diet). For a person with eating disorder history (20+years in recovery), that was a big trigger and worked only for a short while as any diet would. I was pretty worn out and just wanted peace and understanding of how things work. Melanie helped me understand how to nourish my body the right way, how to honor my cravings (yes, you need to honor them! Who knew?!) and how to make sure I move my body and stay active because it helps with mood and psychological wellbeing among all other things. The list of things I learned goes on and on. Each session I kept gasping: “I wish I knew this when I was a teenager! Quality of my life would have been entirely different then and now.” This is how impactful and powerful information provided by Melanie is. The most impactful thing for me to learn was how hormones impact women’s bodies throughout the monthly cycle and how our hunger and cravings change in response to that. Learning about this gave a lot of peace and respect towards my body and how it is wired and knows what to do in the most amazing ways. We just have to learn to listen to them and let them do their magic. If you need to bring balance and peace into your relationship with food, I highly recommend reaching out to Melanie for a consultation. She helped me unpack all my food and body confusion so I know she can help anyone.

Yes! All of our appointments are virtual telehealth using Zoom. You don't have to take time out of your day to drive to an office or worry about parking, you can meet with one of our dietitian nutritionists from wherever you are. We use a HIPAA-compliant, secure version of Zoom. Health insurance covers virtual appointments the same as an office appointment and most of our clients pay nothing out of pocket.
Yes, we accept most commercial health insurance including Anthem BlueCrossBlueShield (and other BCBS plans), Cigna, Aetna, United (UHC), UMR, Oxford. Most of our clients pay nothing out of pocket. Georgia law requires telehealth to be paid just like an office visit. We do not accept Medicare, Medicaid or any managed Medicaid plans.
Everything we do at Nourish is completely individualized. When you schedule as a new client, you are not committing to a program and you will work with your dietitian on a schedule for follow up appointments based on your needs. The majority of our clients check in weekly, biweekly or monthly but this is completely dependent upon what you and your dietitian decide is right for you.
