Me and my husband are homeless. We went and was gonna stay over night until they opened Monday so we could try and get some help. They came outside and told us to get off their property or they were calling the police. And I told them we were new to Tennessee and just moved here and didn't have anywhere to go. They still called the police on me and my husband. The salvation army is supposed to help people. Not call the police on them. We weren't doing anything. We just needed help.

They treat the mens dorm as if it were a jail. There’s no help from the case managers and instead all you get is judgemental gossipy people. God help you if you get a woman named Sandra as one. They claim to be a church that accepts you for who you are but that’s just not true unless you’re in the family unit. There’s a bias towards families and women here. And it’s a shame that this is the only place in town that’s a mens shelter. Because I was treated less like a person and more like a convict.

They are awesome. Not so complicated to get the help you need from them like some other places I have been when in need for food, clothing, help with financial, any bill, Christmas help, a place to stay, work and most important, prayer when you need it for those that may be lost. And who better to call on than Jesus. I pray more blessings over this business right know. Lord thank you for allowing me to be connected to this business to be able to share to others how good they are.

They are the most rudest and disrespectful staff.

Thank you for the information, sorry for not replying sooner. I now have a place, a car, and was given a promotion at my job. I hope all is well and Happy New Year.

Hello Darn Luck, Yes, Salvation Army has 4 rooms where families stay together. Each of these rooms has the capacity of housing 6 people, because there are bunk beds in these rooms. You have your own bathroom in these rooms as well as your own shower. Hope this helps!
