I stayed at Stepping Stones for 6 months and in that time I was able to get a job and my own place. I was so severely sick at the beginning of December. They showed so much compassion and love I honestly think it helped with my healing process. I personally think each staff member is beyond amazing. They don't play favorites and they help everyone equally. Especially Miss Lacey is an incredible person and I love that I could just go to her about anything and she gave me great advice. God bless Miss Lacey and every staff member there. I love you ladies ❤️

Before I came to this shelter, I never felt like there was anywhere I could call home. I never felt like I was safe anywhere. I never felt like anybody saw me, or cared about me. I had never felt more loved and cared about than I have at this place. The staff was there to comfort me and encourage me when I was in a scary place. The facility is clean, and the staff is friendly, patient, and endeavor to be as helpful as possible. Stepping Stones has helped a lot of families and women, and I am thankful to have been a part of them.

I intially left a less than satisfactory comment because I received no response to an e-mail inquiry; however, the Executive Director contacted me promptly after the review and it is suspected that the failure to respond was a result of a computer/email glitch. I never leave a bad review if I can help it.

We are unable to accept clothing donations due to our limited storage space at the shelter. We refer our ladies to Greenhouse Ministries, Outreach Thrift, or Steered Straight Thrift when they have need for clothing.

Hi Julie- this is Lacey, the Executive Director. We are unable to accommodate pets in our shelter. We can work to help find a foster for you for the time you may need. I would encourage you to call Monday- Friday between the hours of 9a-5pm to speak with our Intake Coordinator. She can help answer questions.

Paper goods, cleaning supplies and hygeine products are helpful for us. We have limited storage and are unable to take household goods, clothing or other items. Our guests are referred to partner organizations for these items. Drop off can be Monday to Saturday from 8am to 4pm.
