The team just finished our patio for our new home and we couldn’t be happier. From Dana at the initial appointment, to the team pouring and stamping the concrete, and to Victor staining and sealing it, it’s perfect. Competitive pricing, but the team is what makes it. We got a number of quotes but this crew felt right and so glad we went with our instinct. Highly recommend and will use them for any of our future concrete needs.

We used Denver Concrete Inc to install a front patio outside of our house. I have truly never had a more positive experience - they were communicative, professional, on time, and did top tier work. If we're ever in the place to have another concrete job completed, they will be my first call.

Denver Concrete Inc.’s estimate was very competitive and work was completed in a timely, professional manner. The scope of work included demolishing our old driveway, path, front porch, railings and column, then replacing with all new. They have a commercial welder on staff that fabricated and installed the railing and column. Owner Lee and Office Manager Kyndal provided excellent oversight and customer service throughout the project. We couldn’t be happier with the finished product and have received numerous compliments. It’s so nice to finally be proud of the exterior of our home!

Second time Denver Concrete has done a project for me. I cannot recommend them enough. They go well above and beyond to ensure a happy customer and quality job. Kyndal and Lee were amazing every step of the way. I have built a home and renovated a couple of others, and I can say that they are up there with the best contractors I have ever worked with.

Questions & Answers

I am trying to understand your pricing and I don't think I fully understand. What would it cost to replace a driveway?

The general guideline to pricing a driveway is to assume about $8.00 / sq ft for tearing out and replacing an existing driveway. There are certain factors that might add more to this price, but for a typical two car driveway this is reasonable price to expect. Certain factors that might add more to this would be limited access to the work area, the need for additional base (road base) to be installed and compacted. On the higher end you could expect to see $10.00 / sq ft for tear out and replace of an existing driveway. This higher end pricing would be for properties that are outside of our 10 mile service area for example.

When replacing a driveway, is it necessary to prepare the area with road base material if you are using rebar reinforcement? Is one alone - roads base or rebar - sufficient? If just one, which is better?

Thank you for your question MGL. Base preparation really depends on the underlying sub-soils. Regardless, it is recommended to always prepare the base. Separate from this is reinforcement bar, this should always be used in every driveway unless of course the driveway will never function as a driveway. Reinforcement bar gives tensile strength to the concrete which allows a driveway to actually hold the weight which it does. So the answer is, Denver Concrete Inc would recommend both base preparation and reinforcement bar for any concrete driveway.

Does your company offer concrete lifting?

Denver Concrete Inc. | Jan 3, 2022

Chad, thank you for the question. Our company does not offer concrete lifting. We do have a partner that we refer all of our concrete lifting projects to. We highly recommend Purlevel for all concrete lifting projects. They can be trusted to give an honest opinion as to whether or not concrete lifting is going to make sense for your particular project. You can visit Purlevel's website at https://www.purlevel.com.

Do you offer residential concrete services?

Yes, that is almost 95% of our projects. We do some small commercial projects, but our focus is on residential concrete.

We are trying to replace our back patio. Having a tough time getting a call back from any contractor about this job. It is 110sq ft, do you guys do small patios like that?

Vikki Bishop | Oct 30, 2020
Cade Lee | Oct 30, 2020

the answer is yes, we most definitely do small patios like that. It is definitely something I would recommend having a estimator take a look at. However for a project like this, it would typically be about $20 per square foot or $2,000 total.

Have you worked with a HOA (Home Owners Association) before? Were you able to get the job completed with their (HOA) okay?

Yes Bettie, we have worked with several different Home Owners Associations. It is definitely part of the job, we like to partner with our customers and help them through the process as much as we possibly can.

I cannot see on your website that you do stamped concrete. Does your company do stamped concrete?

Bettie Karr | Oct 31, 2019
Denver Concrete Inc. | Oct 31, 2019

Bettie, thank you for asking! We are in the middle of organizing and creating an entire section on our website about stamped concrete. Unfortunately that has not been published as of yet. We do install stamped and decorative concrete driveways, patios, walkways, accent pieces and borders. We can pretty much do it all when it comes to colored & stamped concrete Bettie! Please make sure to check our website again soon for more information on stamped concrete driveways and patios. In the meantime, please contact our team so that we might be able to walk you through some of the projects that we have completed in the past as well as show you some options available to you today!
