Finding Handprints ABA therapy has changed our lives! Dan our BCBA is very personal and always knows how to create a plan that continues challenge my son to help him learn and grow. The team at Handprints, never lets us down! Ms. Shelby and Mr. Trenton are the two main RBTs our son is working with. They are both wonderful! They communicate well and I know they find their work rewarding. Because of their constant attention and devotion for their client's success, my sons social and emotional skills are flourishing and he doesn't even think it is work. He really loves his Handprints friends, so very much! He can't wait to go to Handprints and play with Trenton and Ms. Shelby and all his friends! We are so lucky to have found Handprints! (Bonus: They also have a physical therapist (Ms. Erin) that comes to our house and "plays"/works with our son too!)

Denise N has been wonderful to work with. She’s always professional and punctual. She is working hard with our son for speech therapy and we already see improvements in his abilities. Highly recommended!

This is determined by your child's needs. They can be seen anywhere between 1 and 5 times per week. Once the assessment is complete, the therapy team will determine how many sessions per week would best benefit your child.
Speech therapy sessions last 30 minutes while OT and PT sessions typically last 45-60 minutes. These sessions can look like play, but every activity chosen is to address your child's therapy needs and goals. Throughout any session, you may see fine and gross motor play, dress-up, self-care, social interaction, sensory play and much more. Your therapist utilizes fun and playfulness to work toward therapeutic goals.
Your child’s ABA initial assessment/evaluation will include direct and indirect assessment measures. These assessment measures will give BCBAs the information they need to build an individualized treatment plan for your child.
ABA is an applied science; while the methods and interventions we implement are systematic, each program is individualized to every client. In short, ABA should not look different from client to client, but the treatment plans and programming should.
At Handprints Therapies, we are focused on intervening on socially-significant behaviors. How quickly a behavior or skill is extinguished or gained is dependent on each learner. There is no ABA “quick fix” - all programming and behavior change will take time.
Video cameras are strategically positioned throughout our clinic. The cameras and their recordings are used for security purposes. They may also serve as a tool for internal educational purposes.
