The staff were very helpful and emphatic towards my situation. The director and scheduling coordinator are some of the kindest people I have had the pleasure of speaking with! My Counselor, who basically was with me throughout the whole process truly is a wonderful individual, he would always let me vent and express my emotions to him on good days and bad days, he truly help me get through this hard chapter in my life with compassion and empathy. They are understaffed which is the main reason sometimes it's hard to get through to them on the phone, they are always busy doing visitations themselves so clients don't have to cancel or reschedule. So what im saying is that they are not just ignoring clients calls but they always try to reach back out as soon as possible. I had a no bad experience with this facility and truly grateful for everything they have done for me and my little one.

I didn't know what to expect at first and didn't believe my kids would be safe. The staff here cared for my kids and spent time to talk to me so that I was comfortable. I trust everyone who works here and know that they will put my kids first.

Where do I start? First let’s start with the most important… this place will not adequately protect you children, will not take any accountability for their wrong doing, will not respond unless it suits them and will gaslight children and strip them of their voice. My daughter and her father were court ordered to have visitations and this center proved to only have THEIR best interest in mind. They forced my daughter to face abandonment within the numerous times that they allowed my daughters father to be late or no call no show while we sat there waiting after driving over a half hour to the center. It wasn’t until I raised an alarm over and over again that they finally wrote up a last chance agreement and only after they tried to argue that the visitation slots needed to be filled and utilized instead of showing concern about the many tears that my daughter shed being left to wait with no answers until having to drive home. Also, they withheld honest reports as to what was being discussed in the visits. ONTOP OF THAT… I had to find out from the mouth of my seven year old daughter that her father was discussing court proceedings with her and even told her that they would have to get their hair cut to see if they are even related!!! I then decided to handle this issue face to face with the director herself, only to be told that I cannot cancel visits and that I needed to take my concern to the courts as this was not their issue. I asked the director to check the notes from the visit so I could collect the proof to provide to the courts and the director specifically requested to have a conversation before I found out what was in the report that they failed to inform me of. TO TOP IT ALL OFF the director gaslighted my daughter by expressing passionately that there was no way that her father said what he did to her under theIR care (NOT KNOWING THAT I ALREADY HAD THE PROOF THAT HE DID BREAK COURT ORDERS AND SEVERELY DAMAGED OUR CHILD). After I provided the proof of my daughters father admitting that he did I fact say this in the visit, the karlis center advised him to seek legal counsel against me and stopped responding to me Here’s the kicker… so then one of the ladies that supervised the visits called me for an update. She left a voicemail and I’ve tried calling back multiple times to no avail. PLEASE KEEP YOUR CHILDREN SAFE AND DO NOT SEND THEM HERE!!!

No! This is a visitation center for children.
They can refer you to the right.places, but the Karlis Center is supervised visitation center. Pam you can go through the courts and they can find you transitional housing or a safe house. I hope this helps
I think about an hour they take you on a tour of the building and fill out paperwork
