Life is Good at Covenant Woods......

I was ecstatic to work for Covenant Woods. That all change the first ten minutes of entering the facility on my first day of training. The staff was very unprofessional and rude. Training was not what it should’ve been. This has been by for the worst working experience of my fifteen years of caregiving.(Lol) The staff screams at their residence’s often. To my observation many residents went to sleep with fecal residue on them. Staff also doubles the residents depends/diapers. To prevent changing the residents as scheduled. Staff wakes their up residence up starting at three am for showers. The passing of medication is done against protocol. The dining area smells of mildew. The silverware is filthy. Covenant Woods would not even be an option for the personal care living arrangements for my relatives.

Good for assisted living but awful for personal care. My grandparents stayed here for some time in assisted living but as time went on and their health fell we had to put them into personal care. The personal care here is very bad. My grandmother requires assistance bathing and she would go days at a time without one because of lazy staff. Both of my grandparents fell multiple times because staff would not make sure they used a walker or wheelchair or help them at all. My grandparents were in their own words “afraid to ask for help” I assume for fear of verbal abuse from staff or because staff would not help them correctly or act like they didn’t want to be there to help at all. The staff in personal care seem to not care at all about the residents. Every time I was there they were sitting around doing nothing, and mumbling snark remarks and laughing at residents. The front desk was unhelpful in any complaints or attempts to improve their care. They did not seem to care that some members of their staff are lazy and rude people with no empathy for the elderly. Do not recommend this place if your loved one requires 24/7 hands on care.

Covenant Woods is an excellent assisted home for both men and women , snd married couples! I love my apartment, privacy and all the services provided for the residents! There are fun activities for your choice each day! Several times each week the Covenant Woods bus will take you shopping, bank or doctor! You will love everything about Covenant Woods!!
