It's great as always, I wish they permitted camping, but otherwise it's awesome.

Pretty good hiking trails. Popular for mountain biking too. It can get kind of crowded sometimes but it's nice to go to early in the evening or during light rain.

Great park for easy/intermediate hiking. Free parking, restrooms, and overall handicap accessible.

The York Galleria is about 10 minute drive away where there is a Texas Roadhouse. It's also close to Route 30 which can get you to a variety of options.
I'm not sure I understand your question. The park is free to go to.

From what I understand(* I am not employed by nor do I know anyone employed/volunteering for this attraction) , it was like this last year as well, only this year they are pushing the timed tickets so during peak time, each person going through can enjoy to the fullest without being crowded and the food people can plan accordingly. I highly recommend buying timed tickets before hand. Oh and bring cash! It's cash only.
No, just partially. I would contact the park about usage and/or requirements. They may also know of places with enclosed pavilions.
Yes w leash.
No I think it's all free. Not sure if you want a pavillion you may need to rent.
