There has been a momentous decline in service since we bought our first car from Fairfax Volvo in 2006. For the second time recently --I tried to call for service and no one answered the phone 2 full days .. calling multiple times throughout each day. I then used their on line system to make an appointment only to have someone call me the day before the appt. to cancel and try and reschedule for two weeks later. Again, this has happened to me previously so I said that's not acceptable and I want to speak to the service manager. I was put on hold for 5 minutes and told he wasn't available, so I said that I expected a call back quickly .. this was a Thursday morning and as of the following Monday morning that I am writing this, I have yet to receive a call. Repeatedly this dealership has gone out of their way to make me feel like my business is not important to them. Since 2006, between myself, husband and our business we have purchased/serviced 6 cars from both Fairfax Volvo and Fairfax Volkswagon so we have witnessed their decline in real time and have many examples of this. We have been very understanding throughout their remodels and restructuring over the years but there are too many options for good customer service in NOVA than to continue to deal with this.

Edit Part 2: I thought I would give them another shot for service. I called, my details were taken down. I reached and was told they had no record. I described whom I spoke to, and when they checked, turned out the person answering told me to come in and said I had a loaner but did not put me in the system. The person checking me in said "she should not have done it". Once again, I drove 30 minutes. He WAS able to check me in, and someone else was returning a loaner, so I pointed that out and it was assigned to me. Unfortunately, it gets worse. The car was having a serious issue where it randomly turns off anytime it stops. I had a video. I was called 2 days later, saying they would not check it because they could not "replicate it". I sent them the video. They, without actually viewing the video, said they "saw it" and don't want to argue, and I can take it elsewhere. The Rosenthal group, and this Volvo in particular are subpar. I went to Volvo of Dulles. They resolved the issue, the SAME day. --- Don’t waste your time here for service. I booked an appointment online, drove 45 minutes, and I was told they don’t have an appointment and it’s cancelled. They use a “third party” website. They couldn’t get me in, and make plenty of excuses. I will also complain to Volvo corporate.

Never have rentals. Service is now 1month to book. 1 to 2 ervice agents for the entire place and the person answering calls has difficulty with everything. Just keeps getting worse.
