Buying was ok, but if you return the car, it takes FOREVER to get your money returned. EDIT: Almost 1 month to reimburse me for the car I returned! Still waiting for CarMax to pay if off.

We bought a 2013 VW GLI Autobahn a few weeks ago & our sales rep, Camilo was absolutely amazing! We LOVE the car & it was a great value! The ONLY issue is…… the heat doesn’t work! Now I understand things happen but we had the car transported from NC to MD & they spent a week or so doing the post-shipment inspection so it was shocking to find out the heat didn’t work! We set up an appointment with service, they needed to order the part & they wanted us to go without heat until the next available appt. which would have been 26 days!! Nate, with the service department wasn’t very nice or understanding, as he wanted to keep pointing out that the car isn’t new BUT the heat didn’t work from the day we got it so we shouldn’t be punished for that. If we had gotten the car & then a few weeks later the heat stopped working then I could see his point but that’s not what happened. Also I’m in sales & service myself & it’s all about EMPATHY!! Nate needs to take some classes on how to treat customers! Now I’ll admit, I was unpleasant & overreacted a little but I have kids & heat is pretty important especially when it’s 30 degrees in the mornings. Our sales rep., Camilo came to the rescue & that’s why I gave 5-stars! & maybe my man Nate will redeem himself as well & I can post an update! UPDATE 10/21/22: So I have to eat my words here because Nate most certainly redeemed himself & I wasn’t the easiest to deal with but I was just super concerned about going without heat & it was just irritating because the heat not working wasn’t noticed prior to us purchasing the car…. But most important, it worked out & Nate along with everyone else, was amazing & helpful.

Moe helped us with our appraisal and helped us find my daughters dream car. He went over and beyond to answer all our questions and concerns. Very polite young man. We loved Moe and everyone that we worked with at Carmax was awesome!!! If we ever decide to get another vehicle we will definitely come back to Carmax!

They'll appraise it and give you a semi-fair price and possibly allow you to roll the difference into your monthly payments
It will all depends on your credit score and the cost of the car. You can go on Carmax website and inquire about a car and do an online application. If you want something under 200 you might want to stick with cars less than $13k
