Perfect location right at the wharf. Plenty of restaurants & shops in walking distance. You can also walk out to the pier. The rooms are nice & comfortable. I've stayed here many times during my vacations. The rooms that are waterfront are located under the restaurant & are quite a bit more updated than the regular rooms located across the parking lot. The regular rooms are a great bargain for a comfy place to sleep while on vacation! The self check in is fast & convenient. I always try to reserve at Anchor Lodge but they sell out quick.

UPDATE........... We were back in Fort Brag for a beach trip & stopped in to have a "nice" dinner. We had 4 adults & 2 kids uder 3 so we were considered a party of 8 which means they add in the tip. Normally that's fine but my kids share a meal & 1 of the 4 adults weren't going to eat. The food took forever & wasn't very good this time, we didnt get ANY drink refills & only saw are server 1 time..... she got a mandatory $11 tip giving us $2 service. Needless to say we won't be back & neither will anyone I know. It was awful. Food was good service was terrible. If you have a party over 6 then the tip is automatically added into your bill ..... I'm all for that if you get good service. Now we just tipped this guy like he gave us A+ service when he DID NOT. He took our order asked if we wanted refills then didn't come back till AFTER we flagged him down because now we ALL needed drinks & boxes. He did bring my newly wed cousins a free ice cream so that was nice & all our food was beautiful & delicious so at least it wasn't all bad.

Very clean room and spotlessly white linens and towels. A diamond in the rough, but located near the things we were interested in. Clever touches with the towels! Folded in a unique manner which is a nice surprise.

The place could use someone who knows how to clean and how to train house the keepers. And why don't the kitchenettes have any dishes in them? There is soap for washing dishes but no dishes. I dont get it. But all in all its not horrible. The staff are nice people. If you extend your stay pay attention to the prices they give you. They tried jacking the price up on me several times. Just politely mention your original price and they will accommodate you.
