This is a vegetarian omakase place. I don't normally eat vegetarian dishes but the place is closing and I figured I will give high end vegetarian dishes a try. Perhaps, vegetarians have a different enlightened way of appreciation. But, I just don't get it. I added the sake pairing as well. The sake cocktail tasted "special", I guess like every favorite candy in Harry Potter. Some tasted like vomit, some tasted like meat juice. The veggie dish tasted bad. Some dishes are bitter, some are bland. I really can't say I like it. Service is good though. And other customers seem to enjoy it.

It is a tragedy that this place is closing. A pricey menu but for this level of artistry in a place made for the plant based is a gem. Every dish is a poem. I have Never experienced so many layers of subtlety within flavor profiles that could be described as earthy and umami. The tea and sake pairings were sublime. Of our 12 dishes the standout for me was a fried trio of sweet potato, potato and taro. Shaped into balls and fried, served with delicately fried chives so arranged to look like leaves on the edge of decent from an autumn tree. Watch this chef folks, whatever he does next will be amazing.

How can a raw slice of nectarine have no flavor, specially during peak season!? Food looks pretty but flavors range from dull salty miso to dirty sink aftertaste. In tune with to the food, the ambience feels zombie-like. The matcha tea was good.

I've had vegetarian and omakase before but never together and this place was an experience. All the tables were nicely spaced out and each dish was explained. You can taste each and every ingredients that they use. Luckily I was able to try this place before they close their doors for good.

The distances between tables make it quite comfortable to chat. Just feel free tp chat here! Definetly an ideal place to date!
There is no Lunch service at Kajitsu. It only offers Dinner.
Yes, although not everything is and you should confirm with them even with dishes that sound like they should be.
