A rare place to go when you are searching for a specific from times gone by!

This place is a total gem. I wasn’t expecting to find it when visiting the antique mall. Walking in you’re greeted with shelves upon shelves of vinyl and the walls are covered in vintage memorabilia. The place would definitely take a few days to look through everything, but you’ll absolutely find some hidden gems in the stacks. The shop itself is a tight squeeze. You may have to side step to get through some aisles. It’s located on the third floor of a very old building, it being in Texas and with heat rising, the place is pretty hot. None of this can really be helped. The shop owner Mr. Will was incredibly nice. Given the space he was tucked away in the back, so I didn’t notice he was even there at first til he greeted me. Once I had the vinyls I was ready to purchase, I made my way to him and he priced each one for me, explaining why he priced them each way. He’s incredibly knowledgeable about each vinyl I brought to him, and even showed me some cool memorabilia he had tucked away. Mr. Will is great conversation if you have the time. The prices were pretty high but nothing I considered worthy to cry home about. They were actually pretty on par from what I found online, the few I purchased that were more expensive than online prices weren’t too far off, but I also take online pricing with a grain of salt in consideration of worth since they fluctuate so much. All in all, would 100% be coming back. The thousands of records in there, topped with Mr. Will’s enthusiasm made for a wonderful experience.

As an avid vinyl fan, when I entered this room located in the third floor, my eyes lit up. Tons of records, lovely. Quite cramped with no spacious aisles, no problem, most small used record stores are like this, and I enjoy the "digging for a treasure" vibe. Plenty of excellent titles and editions. First time in a while I haven't seen prices on records though... so in order not to bother the gentleman in charge with a question every few minutes, I grabbed a handful of the ones I was interested in, with different approximate value levels (according to discogs and ebay, which even if you don't like, ought to admit they suggest a standard of what most people are paying for something). Now, before coming here, I had just been in Manhattan, went to Academy and The Jazz Record Store, which to me are on the expensive side, but always worth it. Not even in those places did I find prices so steep. The man explained to me kindly why he thought each record cost what it did. No problem, it's his business, and he's entitled to price his merchandise / art however he wants. But still, and I'm just a human being entitled to have an opinion, the prices were too high. I got only two albums in the end ($35) because I didn't want to come out with empty hands after a quite long search. Two weeks later, I'm in Berkeley, CA and come across the same two records, mint condition, at Amoeba: one was $9, the other was in a $2.99 bin. If no matter what, you don't mind prices, this is a recommended stop. Not for me, though.

So much to see any way you turn. A lot of memories in one place. It was hot in the building, but there were fans everywhere.

He doesnt have a whole lot of CDs or tapes. Vast, vast majority of his stuff is LPs. I doubt he's got much in the way of death metal or deathcore, but I think he's got a decent amount of 80s records.
Particular about what they buy. I didn't have any luck with clean 70's
No - to deter shoplifting! Too easy to steal 45s! We have probably 30,000 45s in all.
Not that I'm aware of. Will, Alamo Records.
I buy Tejano and Conjunto. Largest buyer in TX.
Some, if condition is nice.
